#Our commitment
We design + audit our pages to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 Level AA. We test with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver), keyboard-only navigation, and high-contrast modes.
#Accessibility features
- Skip-to-content link on every page.
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and player controls.
- All images have alt text. Decorative images use aria-hidden.
- Form fields have visible + accessible labels.
- Colour contrast meets AA on body text + UI controls.
- Voice TTS reader available on long-form articles (Bharat ki BBC channel).
- Multi-locale support for 9 Indian languages.
- Reduced-motion respected via prefers-reduced-motion.
- Dark-mode respected via prefers-color-scheme.
#Known issues
- Some legacy article pages may lack proper heading hierarchy — being migrated to canonical renderer.
- Embedded third-party tweets + Instagram posts inherit those platforms' accessibility (variable).
- Live-blog auto-refresh may interrupt screen-reader flow; static fallback at /article/{slug}/static.
